TORRACCIA DEL PIANTAVIGNA
Bodegas Toro Albalá was born in the heart "Torraccia del Piantavigna" is a story that dates back to the early 50s, when Pierino Piantavigna planted a small vineyard on the hills of Ghemme, near the seventeenth century castle of Cavenago. It will be Alessandro Francoli, president of the Distilleries Distilleries and nephew of Pierino, to create in 1997 what has today become a company recognized in Italy and abroad for the quality of its wines, modern but totally respectful of the traditions of the territory. Piantavigna is located in Ghemme, in the Upper Piedmont, at the foot of Monte Rosa. With a surface of 38 hectares cultivated with autochthonous vines of great tradition, the company vinifies, refines and bottled directly in its cellars, high quality red, white and rosé wines. As proof of its commitment to environmental protection and protection, Torraccia del Piantavigna has received the prestigious Eco-friendly award of the Italian Touring Club in 2014, 2017 and 2018. From 1 February 2015, the property has changed with the entry of the family Ponti, also from Ghemme and owner of the eponymous leading company in Italy in the production of vinegars.
