Mamete Prevostini is the third generation of farmers in Valtellina 1928 with a particular fortune, that of having a natural refrigerator: the crotto, a natural cavity between the rocks of the mountain where a natural wind constantly blows, locally called Sorèl, which maintains temperature and humidity. constant throughout the year.
Over time, with the seasoned products in the crotto, the family business began, also linked to catering.
After completing his studies at the oenology school in Conegliano, Mamete decided to bottle and sell his wine starting in the nineties. Today the cellar, with very low energy consumption, was the first in Italy to be certified by the CasaClima Agency in Lombardy and the third in Italy.
In the 26 hectares of terraced vineyards, mainly in the three areas of the Sassella appellation, Grumello and Inferno are produced exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes, Classic wines (Valtellina Superiore), Selezioni (from single vineyard) and Riserva.
