The Feudo Antico winery was founded in 2004 by the experience of several generations of winemakers, with the aim of bringing out the best of native cultivations and protecting a fragile environment. At the beginning the interest was focused on the two native vines Pecorino and Passerina, two vines whose cultivation had been neglected for a long time for economic reasons and not only, then the Reds came, obtained from old vines of Montepulciano vinified in purity. During the re-planting of the vineyards, the remains of a Roman building and an ancient cistern for the conservation of wine emerged. The excavations have been going on, our work well and the company has arrived here. From this experience the Dop Tullum was born, which is currently the smallest in Italy. From our vineyards we obtain limited yields and apply only organic viticulture or low environmental impact techniques. Each wine originates in a well-circumscribed soil, identified on the basis of a thorough investigation, so as to express the concept of cru in the full sense. What distinguishes this oenological path from others we have experienced is that behind every vineyard there is a story that continues to thrill us. We went to the mountains to test the Pecorino in altitude. In this journey we have made other extraordinary meetings. Our wines have obtained important awards and are now exported to various countries.
