family-run farm that, while not neglecting the most modern wine-making techniques, cultivates and vinifies grapes in full respect of the most ancient rural tradition, enriching the products with authentic humours and flavors of typicality and artisan production. The vineyards have always been cultivated according to the rules of organic viticulture, to protect the environment and to safeguard human health: absolute guarantors and in person of the genuine quality of the wines. And it is thanks to this corporate philosophy that the Lombardy Region, after careful examination, declared that the Cabanon Farm is the only case of specialization in producing Organic wine. Since 1909 the farm produces and vinifies grapes in the western extremity of the Oltrepò Pavese, on the borders of Piedmont. It consists of about 30 hectares of intensive vineyards with specialized cultivation on limestone-clay soils, lean, very ventilated, 300 meters above sea level.
