DEMILLY DE BAERE
Gérard DEMILLY has chosen to become a winemaker from an early age. His parents did not have their own vineyard, he acquired in 1978, with his wife Françoise de Baere, a vineyard in Champagne in Bligny, in the village where it originated in 1624. From 1978 to 1983, Gerard carried out many tests cultivating the vines for find the best possible agreement between the land of each plot, rootstocks and grape varieties. This quest for excellence leads to the construction of a winery in 1983 to begin the production of wine from its vineyards. In 1990, faced with the success of the Champagne Demilly de Baere, Gérard Demilly increased production by involving his family. Every year they are produced and sold by the Maison Demilly de Baere from 120,000 to 250,000 bottles of Champagne. In 2009 Vincent Demilly Winemaker (Wine Marketing & Management) came to support his parents full time, after working in the United States, Australia and Cognac. Today the Maison's wines are the result of a growth based on the perpetual search for quality and respect for customers and consumers.
