Charles Heidsieck is a man of his time: visionary and innovator. In 1851 he founded the Maison de Champagne that still bears his name, and maintains that spirit of communication, courage and pursuit of excellence that distinguishes its founder. Rémois of a good family, married to the heir of another great family of the region, the Henriot, at the age of 29, founded a Maison that desires to be in his image and likeness.
The Maison de Champagne Charles Heidsieck remains, more than 160 years after its creation, a family reality in which each heir is committed to revive the bold spirit of its foundation, making authentic and personal choices that require respect and that resist the ephemeral mode.
Charles Heidsieck champagne enjoys an unmistakable signature. Their style, recognizable among all, is characterized by a high proportion of reserve wines that enriches the Maison's cuvée sans année, giving a rare and constant balance. The reserve wines represent the richness and uniqueness of Charles Heidsieck champagne, but they are also wines in constant evolution, that the mastery of the Chef de Caves assembles in a harmonious composition, while preserving intact the particularity expected of each wine. The grapes selected together with the original crus constitute the complexity of the final product. Vinified cru per cru, vine per vine, allow a precise selection of each wine in which the one brings his touch of depth, the other his part of softness.
